Gary Terzano sent me this information on David Gaige on Wednesday January 16, 2019. David Gaige graduated from Hackensack High School in 1963 and joined the Army in 1965 serving till 1967 as a Specialist E-4 Mess Cook. David served overseas in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967 with the 196th Light Infantry Division for 6 months and then the 25th Division for 6 months. David Gaige’s area of operations was Saigon and near the Cambodian border. |
Gary Terzano also sent information on Ken McKenzie at the same time and in a Special note he explains why: As you can see, they have the same military history because they enlisted together in the buddy system. In 1965, the U.S. Army sent whole units on troop ships over to Vietnam to start our involvement. Later on as the draft grew, most soldiers filled in units as replacements for casualties and returning GIs once their tours were over. Material Recorded by: |
